  • Start Your Finance Career with Brakspear

    Are you looking to take your first step into a finance career while earning a salary and gaining a recognised qualification? 

    Following the successful completion of our previous apprentice's AAT qualification, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance team in Henley-on-Thames.

    This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical accounting experience while studying towards the AAT Level 2 qualification through an apprenticeship programme.

     

    What You'll Do

    Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and finance activities, including:

    • Processing sales and purchase ledger transactions
    • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
    • Maintaining accurate financial records and data
    • Reconciling cash, bank and supplier accounts
    • Supporting month-end finance processes
    • Using accounting software and financial systems
    • Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
    • Handling finance-related queries from colleagues and suppliers
    • Performing bookkeeping and financial administration duties
    • Ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant

    The role is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of a Finance Assistant, including bookkeeping, data analysis, communication, organisation and attention to detail.

     

    What We're Looking For

    We are seeking someone who:

    • Has a genuine interest in finance and accounting
    • Is eager to learn and develop new skills
    • Has good numerical and analytical abilities
    • Pays close attention to detail
    • Has strong communication skills
    • Is organised and reliable
    • Can work effectively as part of a team

    No previous finance experience is required. We're looking for potential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
